SMS Privacy Policy

This policy explains how E.J. Willman & Sons Plumbing ("we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through our text messaging (SMS) program. It applies only to that program.
What we collect
When you agree to receive text messages from us, we collect:
Your mobile phone number — required to send you messages.
Your name — used to identify your appointment record.
Consent records — the date, time, and method by which you agreed to receive text messages, and the wording you agreed to. We are required to be able to produce this.
Message history — the text of messages sent to you and received from you, and their delivery status.
We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or financial account information through this program.
How we use it
Your mobile number and message history are used only to:
Send you appointment reminders for work you have scheduled with us.
Send you appointment status notifications — confirmations, reschedules, cancellations, and crew-arrival updates.
Respond to questions you text us about a scheduled appointment.
Process opt-out and help requests, and maintain the consent records we are required to keep.
We do not use your mobile number to send advertising, promotions, or marketing of any kind.
Mobile information sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services to us — such as the software and telecommunications providers that operate this messaging program on our behalf — is permitted solely so those services can function.
All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Who processes messages on our behalf
Provider: WhyGPTech
What they receive: Mobile number, name, appointment and message records
Why: Provides and operates the scheduling and messaging software we use
Provider: Voxtelesys
What they receive: Mobile number and message content
Why: Telecommunications carrier that delivers our text messages
Each is contractually limited to using this information solely to deliver the messaging service to us. Neither may use it for their own marketing, and neither may sell it.
We may also disclose information where legally required — for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful process.
How long we keep it
Message history is retained for as long as we have an active or recent relationship with you and afterward as needed for our business records. Consent and opt-out records are retained for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with text messaging regulations, including after you opt out.
Security
Mobile numbers and message content are stored in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit and at rest, and are available only to E.J. Willman & Sons Plumbing staff and to the providers listed above.

This program is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do.
